Bulletin to ThinkTech Hosts - Week of February 13, 2022

Dear ThinkTech Hosts:

Host Bulletin, Week of February 13, 2022

Presidents' Day

Regular live stream programming continues on Monday, February 21. Check ThinkTech Hawaii and ThinkTech Hosts websites for broadcast holidays for the rest of the year.

Location

In addition to identifying the location of guests and hosts outside of Hawaii, we should also disclose more specific locations within the state. Rather than “Honolulu” please specify the area, eg. Manoa, Waianae, Kailua. Naming various locations within our islands reflects our pride in our communities.

Episode Titles

A good episode title can greatly affect your views. Use words that are expressive, to the point, concise, catchy and memorable. Include popular searchable words relating to your topic. Avoid long phrases and edit, edit, edit. Examples from recent shows with over 1,000 views:

Is Coronavirus Just Another Hoax
Who is Shohei Otani
Military Accountability: You're Fired
We Can, We Will: Generation Millenial
The World is Plugging into Hydrogen
Transitional Justice in Seychelles

Guest Time Management

Guests who ramble, regardless of their status or importance of their topic, do not make for good programs. Viewers lose interest. As host, control your guests and try to keep segments to about 3 minutes. Comments, questions and dialogue make shows more engaging.

Promotion Tip

Before your next show, promote your upcoming guest and topic on your social media sites. After your show, share the link and tag/mention ThinkTech so we can share your posts. We are on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Help us build a community that will engage with your content by sharing our posts as well.
